You see a quiet girl, but I am really one of the loudest people you’ll meet if you gain my trust.

You see me going straight to work on my assignment, but I am really thinking about what episode I am on an anime.

You see me reading silently in class, but I am daydreaming in my make believe land in my head.

You see my skin color and think that I like spicy food, but I hate anything spicy.

You see a calm collected person in me, but I am the opposite of that the moment I step inside my home.

You see me not talk to very many people in class, but I am very social when I’m with people at lunch.

You hear me failing at saying a complete sentence, but I am actually putting it in simpler words so people will understand the words I’m saying.

You see a normal person, but I am as weird as people can get.

You see an awkward, timid teenager wearing mainly black, but there is more to me than meets the eye. You may believe I am not an creative, hardworking, or a friendly person based off my wardrobe, but in reality I am very artistic, goal oriented, and caring. I’m an artist who enjoys drawing along with writing poetry.I may look like I don’t care much about my grades or future, but in reality I have had straight A’s my whole life and want to get an education in Forensic Photography. Although I’m not a social butterfly per say, when I’m engaged in conversation i’ll contribute and make sure everyone is heard. I am shy especially in groups larger than three people, but I’m always open to meeting people. You probably can’t tell by looking at me but i’m proud of my Puerto Rican heritage and those who helped establish it. You see an awkward, timid teenager who is scared of her own shadow but there is so much more to my being that cannot be confined by words alone.

You see a happy girl, but I struggle quite a bit mostly in school. I am bullied quite a bit because I’m really quiet and shy and when people bully me I shut everyone else out because I feel like that’s the only way I won’t get hurt any worse. I have always been afraid of getting hurt because I’m very very sensitive and throughout the whole 9 years I have been in school I have been bullied for every little thing I do. I got a few poor grades last year and I got picked on sometimes for really stupid things. You see someone lazy but, I am a major athlete I love soccer, softball, wrestling, and cross country. I love these things because they keep me active and give me something to do other than sit around on my phone after school if I don’t have homework. I believe sports are a big part of what makes me, well me because I don’t really do a lot aside from sports. You see a social and outgoing person but, I am really kept to myself unless I’m around my bestfriends. 

You see a girl that is always thought of as perfect, but I am not that girl that has a perfect life with perfect grades. I’m not perfect. People think of me as smart, a goody two shoes, and the teacher’s pet. I’ve had all these names thrown at me throughout my life. People think that because I’m smart and wear nice clothes and shoes, I must be rich. My family isn’t what you would call rich, although we are more fortunate than some people. My parents aren’t millionaires, and we’re normal. I have a normal life outside of school. I hang out with friends, go to dance, play with my dog, and have normal conversations with my family. People tell me that I’m so perfect, that my life is envious. They tell me that since I’m the teachers pet, I’m a spoiled brat that always gets what she wants. I feel lucky that I have the life that I do, but I wouldn’t call it the best life possible. I don’t understand how people assume that how you act in school relates to how much money your family has, but I just try to be the best student I can be. I tell them that hard work pays off, but they still believe it’s just because I’m privileged. I have parents that help me with my school work and help me solve my problems. I have to work hard in school just like everyone else. People think that everything comes easily to me, but it doesn’t. You might see a girl that you think has the perfect life, but you don’t know the story behind her.

You see a girl with a typical american ethnicity… but i am a girl with a unique  russian,german ethnicity

You see a russian with alcohol….but i am a girl that tries her hardest to make her parents proud of her

you see a useless girl…but i am a girl that plays outside and almost never style my hair and i do things most girls would never do

you see a girl who is low class and  has bad style and crappy shoes…but i am a girl who does not care how she looks she is trying to get good grades and have a fun life

you see a girl who is stupid and ugly…but i am a creative girl who does not care what you see

you see a weird girl who has weird friends…but i am a girl that has humor and has friends that will stand by her when ever she needs them

you see a girl with very few friends…but i am a girl with friends that can never be replaced and accept me for who i am not how i look
